PROTECTION AGAINST VAMPIRES
By: Shyan Chapman 01-05-2002
For protection against
Vampires, people slept with silver knifes under their pillows and under crib
mattresses. They hung silver crosses above their beds. They would hang wreaths of
Garlic on windows and doors and even made necklaces out of them to wear. They
would rub windows, doors, and even farm animals with Garlic in hopes they would
not get attacked. People began to eat a lot of Garlic and have it with every
meal. People carried Wolfsbane, (herb) in their pockets and they kept
everything well locked up. It got so bad that people even took turns taking
watch over the house while people slept.
