BACK FROM THE GRAVE

In the past a lot of premature burials happened. It was not uncommon that someone was buried alive. They didn't have the tools, knowledge, medical equipment, or prosedures to see if someone was really dead before they buried them. They would burry drunks who were passed out on the streets, thinking that they were dead. They would burry people who were in a coma, thinking that they were dead.

They would wake from their drunkin-stuper or coma and find themselves in a coffin. Sometimes they were strong enough to break through their coffin and dig to the surface. People would see them and run in fear thinking that the once buried person was a Vampire.

Sometimes family would ask to have their loved ones dug up and looked over to be examined or to make sure they were not Vampires. They would open coffins and find it scratched up from the inside. The People who couldn't get out, would die from suffication and starvation. Or a few lucky ones would be found still barley alive.

Lucky for them they never imbalmed their dead like we do now and the graves were not as deep as we have them today.
