Sweep It Away

When Grand Master Hiram Abif was still alive, Adoniram asked King Solomon, "What if one sweeps away the dust and finds the Master Mason's Word?"

Solomon said, "You must also sweep it away.  If you do not, you will be like a fisherman with his net caught up in a bunch of reeds, unable to catch a single fish."

Adomiram spoke about this to Hiram and asked him the same question: "What if one sweeps away the dust and finds the Master Mason's Word?"

Hiram said, "Such a word has no language, where can one read it?"

Adoniram reported this to Solomon. Solomon stood up from his throne and
said, "As for tools in Masonry, Hiram is inferior to me, but for discourse on the deepest reality, he is one hundred paces ahead of me."
