Twenty-Four Hours a Day

A newly initiated Entered Apprentice asked Peter Gower, “How should I apply my 24-inch gauge to best divide the twenty-four hours of the day?”

He replied, “When chickens are cold, they roost in trees; when ducks are cold, they plunge into water.”

The Apprentice said, “Then I don’t need my working tools, and won’t pursue Masonic Light.”

Peter Gower responded, “You’ve saved half my effort.”
