I'm a great Fan of Dax-70 motorcycles here are some pictures I took of my dax and a friend's. Ok, but first, a small story on how I got started: Turns out, that my Gradfather (Julio Failrie) had a Dax 70 about 15 years ago (somewhere around 1983) and he had it for severalñ years, I always looked up at him on his little motorcycle and when I was 13 he sold it and I never gotb a chance to buy it from him. I thought his Motorcycle was GREAT! he went everywhere on it, he even went from Lima to Arequipa and back! once. For those of you who might not know, Lima is the capital of Peru and it's at sea level, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Arequipa is a city at about 2300 meters above sea level (actually I think it's more) and its located about 1000 from Lima!!!!! On a 70cc!!!!! Well, anyway, he sold it. A couple of years ago (probably around 1999) a friend of Mine (Roberto Valdiviezo, a.k.a Patán (patan nis the spanish name for Muttley the dog)) bought a 1974 Honda dax70. He took me on a ride opnce and I was fascinated and decided to save up to get one for myself. a year and US$2200 later i got my own bike I got it sometime in July 2000, it was brand new, 0 Km but it had been sitting at a store in Pucallpa (Amazon rain forest) since 1997!! the cool part about it was that they hadn't been shipped to peru since 1997 and that store had the only 2 in stock in all Peru. so they brought it to Lima for me and well, here are the pictures:
