This anime tells the viewers why not to read old books.  Miaka Yuki reads from an old book with her friend Yui then they get sucked into an alternate world.  Yui leaves but comes back later.Miaka becomes a priestess. Alot of guys show up. some die, some fall in love stand procedure.  The story follows two arches.  The first is the gathering of  "celestial warriors"  and the second is calling the guardian diety.

The story is very deep, miss one episode and you may be lost, but its a long....very long show best to grab lot of food and drink before you start excellent, one of the reasons I started watching this show was due to the artwork, music is ok more on the instrumental side like tenchi, there's tons of them, and its makes it hard to rember who did what to who and why first season- light hearted abit on the romantic side with some heavy fighting scenes not to bad second season- way different lots of death, several attempted rapes It takes so long to get here you're glad it is, it sums the story up fairly well but the ova's that accompany it futher the conclusion good show worth watching at least one full time. good animetion and story
