Technical and Historical Notes | ||||||||||||
Neo Nepal's entry in the 13th Gundam Fight was pretty nonstandard in comparison to the Gundam of other nations. Shaped like a jack-in-the-box, the GF13-044NNP Mandala Gundam's main armament consisted of a staff that served several purposes. One use was a hidden beam saber, and another was the ability to engulf an opponent with flames. Even stranger than the Mandala Gundam's design was its pilot, Kyral Mekirel. During the 11th Gundam Fight in FC 48, Kyral was accidentally blinded in one of the last matches of the tournament. Twelve years later, he returned to the Gundam Fight as an assassin for Neo Nepal. By killing his opponents before their scheduled matches, he was able to win all his matches by default until he faced Domon Kasshu's GF13-017NJII God Gundam. After being defeated, Kyral set out to atone for his sins, and he later returned as part of the World Gundam Federation that united in a final battle against the JDG-00X Devil Gundam. |
