What's What
We know how confusing all of the names and titles get, so here is a brief dictionary for Zero's Army; we hope it is helpful.
Admittor - the "greeter" for new prisoners, who dutifully searches them, steals anything valuable, then turns them over to the Taker.
Assistants - there are four assistants, one to each of the Overseers for Block 159. They assist.
Associates - the ZSL's Mister always has two Associates beneath him, and they're there until they die. They are privilaged enough to be able to call the Mister by his first name.
Belvadere and Associates - the business the ZSL runs, a stock broking company. Mafia loves money . . .
Cadwalader - the "head honcho" of the Regime, which doesn't end up meaning much since the government has so little control. He or she is usually trying to piece everything back together in hopes of a prosperous nation. Yeah, right.
Guards - the lowest rung in Jail Block 159, the Guards are usually the ones who end up doing the dirty work, like guarding prisoners without falling asleep and running off at night to kidnap new prisoners if their orders include that. They can be promoted to Regulators.
Head Commander - The head of the Invisible Police Force. He or she sits all day in his/her office and orders around his/her secretary and makes final, important decisions about what everyone beneath him/her should be doing.
Head of Law Enforcement - has the power to detain any suspicious persons who may be plotting against the government. He or she can be promoted to the Iodya council if proved loyal and trustworthy. If they aren't, you probably won't be seeing them again any time soon.
Head/Vice Lithobrarian - these two handle the marketing schemes for the Regime: propaganda, toothpase commercials, the works.
Head Officers - there are only an elite few of these, the Head Commander's 'inner circle.' They direct the Officers and Interns, and reside in offices; windows cost extra.
Interns - an Intern is what anyone first entering the Invisible Police becomes. They are paid to get lattes and doughnuts for everyone else and run from office to office, delivering papers and messages. If they are found suitable by the Head Commander, they may be carried along on a mission of some sort, hopefully ending in being named an Officer.
Iodya Council - a council of up to ten men or women the Cadawalder finds trustworthy enough to confide in; these people do not necessarily need to be on the government staff, as long as the Cadawalder chooses them they must be fit for the job.
Juniors - the Juniors, directly below the Seniors in the ZSL, may upgrade to Seniors if the Mister allows it, and refer to him or her formally, Mr. or Ms. ________.
Law Enforcement Officers - these members of the Regime are skilled in the art of bribery, and are there to ultimately ensure that no plots of rebellion or conspiracies against the Cadwalader arise. They also have the power to persecute people if their taxes are late, and can be promoted to Head of Law Enforcement.
Lithobrarians - they are the marketing or commercial sector of the Regime; they handle possible business dealings and ultimately pull the wool over the residents’ eyes. Lithobrarians can be promoted to Head Lithobrarian or Vice Lithobrarian
Lower Jail - this is where the Taker sticks people who don't have enough money to bribe him/her with to live in the Upper Jail, which is considerably nicer. Good luck down there in the dungeo- I mean, jail.
"Mister" - the Mister runs the ZSL, and Belvadere and Associates.
Officers - Officers make up the penultimate tier in the Police hierarchy. They are the ones who get to zoom around the city on motorcycles and solve situations precisely however they feel like, then come back and fill out the paperwork for it. They may be promoted by the Head Commander to either a Head Officer or Secretary.
Overseers - the Overseers do just that-- they oversee everything that goes on in their section of Jail Block 159. They answer to only the Taker him/herself, and order around everyone else.
Regulators - the Regulators, in attempt to be promoted to an Assistant, work rigerously (not) to preform important tasks, like making sure no one is living above their bribe level.
Seniors - the Seniors in the ZSL call the Mister "Mr./Ms." then his/her first name. They may be promoted if an Assistant dies, and although that seems near-impossible, you'd be surprised how often it occurs.
Spies - like spies on TV, only these work for the Regime by doing the dirty work for the government, seeking out wrong-doing and ratting out the free thinkers to the Law Enforcement Officers, to which they can be promoted.
"Taker" - the head of Jail Block 159. The title was originally "Head Overseer," but their latest Head Overseer, Willard Borealis, earned the nickname "Taker" because he takes money, freedom, life and whatever else he wants.
Upper Jail - this section of Jail Block 159 is reserved for well-connected or political prisoners, but if you have enough money you might be able to find yourself a cell.
Vice Cadwalader - pretty self-explainitory; the right-hand sleezball to the Cadwalader.
