| Scholarship The primary reason you are attending CSM is for a first-rate education. Sigma Kappa places a high emphasis on academics. From study rooms and tutors to scholastic awards, Sigma Kappa recognizes and assists members with their studies. Scholarships are available from the Sigma Kappa Foundation. |
| Leadership Sororities are self-governing and offer many opportunities for members to develop their leadership skills. Officers are trained yearly and have an advisor to help them with their office. At least two officers a year attend the national Sigma Kappa convention or Collegiate Officer Training School. Many of our members are officers in other organizations on campus as well. |
| Community Service Greek Life incorporates community service through time, service, and donations to many local and national charitable organizations. Sigma Kappa participates in our own philanthropies as well as in other Mines, Greeks, and Greek Week projects. Here we are volunteering at the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk. |
| Sisterhood From the moment you join Sigma Kappa, you will belong to a group of women with a common bond. You'll learn about the history of Sigma Kappa and why Greek Life has succeeded for so many years. You'll also learn you have a home away from home and how to work together as a chapter to achieve chapter goals and keep Sigma Kappa number one. Your Sigma Kappa experience lasts for more than four years--it lasts a lifetime! |
| Activities From intramural events to our annual Mr. Big Digger male beauty pageant during E-Days, Sigma Kappas are active year round! From ice cream and coffee breaks to date dashes and formals, Sigma Kappas enjoy hanging out with all Mines fraternities and sororities as well as other organizations on the CSM campus. |
