Zeta Facts
Our colors are steel grey and turquoise blue.
Zeta Tau Alpha was founded on October 15, 1898, at Longwood College in Farmville, Virgina.
Zeta Tau Alpha was chartered as a legal corporation on March 15, 1902 by a special act of Virginia Legislature.
Zeta Tau Alpha is the third largest in number of chapters of the 26 National Panhellenic Conference Groups.
The International Office of Zeta Tau Alpha is located at 3450 Founders Rd., Indianapolis, Indiana 46268.
Zeta Tau Alpha has more than 250 alumnae organizations.
Our 9 founders are: Alice Bland Coleman, Alice Gray Welsh, Della Lewis Hundley, Ethel Coleman VanName, Francis Yancey Smith, Helen M. Crafford, Mary Jones Batte, Maude Jones Horner, and Ruby Leigh Orgain.
Our open motto is "Seek the Nobelist."
Gamma Omicron was installed at CMU on May 19, 1951.  Previously we were Phi Delta Eta, a local sorority,
Gamma Omicron was the 88th charter granted.
