Zhang Lingmei is a professional Chinese Martial Arts coach with over 30 years teaching experience in China, Japan, and the U.S.

In 1974, she was the featured performer in the historical Chinese wushu delegation to the United States. She also performed in 1985 by invitation at the United Nations headquarters in New York. As a competitor, her specialites included traditional Cha Quan,, Contemporary Chang Quan, Straight Sword, Spear, and Ba Gua Zhang. She has been named as one of the three most influential women in molding contemporary wushu today.

After retiring from competition, she became the senior head coach for the Shanxi wushu team from 1970 to 1993. In this role, she coached numerous all-China champion athletes, including Yuan Wen Qing, China's all-around champion, whose individual Staff and Long Fist routines became the international compulsory routines. In 1988, The Chinese Wushu Research Institute bestowed honors upon Coach Zhang for her integral input in modern-day wushu.

Coach Zhang offers instruction in Chang Quan, Straight Sword, Broad Sword, Staff, Spear, Cha Quan, Ba Gua Zhang, Yang Tai Chi, Chen Tai Chi, Wu Tai Chi, Sun Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword.
