Zhao Jiajun (Played by Hong Kong Hearthrob Nicholas Tse) is an 18-year-old guy, who just returned from overseas for his sister's wedding. However, his sister's fiance dumps her at the altar. He lives with his parents, sister and uncle. His uncle, takes up Judo. He is interested in Judo, however, his sister forbids him to join their uncle's class. When his sister makes up her mind to let him join, he makes full use of the class. His senior, Jing Jing (Played by Hong Kong actress Nicola Cheung) detests the sight of him and gives him a hard time. Jiajun befriends Yongliang (Played by Hawick Lau) and the twosome become the best of pals. Wanying (Grace Ip), best friend in Judo of Jing Jing is in love with Yongliang. But Yongliang only has eyes for Jing Jing.
Their coach, a taxi driver who is also Jing Jing's brother, organizes a camp to help them build up their stamina for the upcoming Judo competition. When Jiajun finds that the camp is not as fun as he thought it to be, he promptly puts up with everything. Bit by bit, Jing Jing falls for Jiajun, and vise - versa too.
Yongliang also falls for Wanying later on. Their coach also marries Jiajun's sister.
In the ending, Jing Jing falls out with Jiajun, hurting his pride for saying that she does not really love him. In actual fact, Jing Jing just wanted Jiajun to take part in a Judo competition held in Japan. Jiajun goes and returns about 1 year later. He returnes with a junior of his. Jing Jing mistakes the junior for Jiajun's new girlfriend.
In the end, Jiajun explains everything to Jing Jing and again, they are back to a couple. |
