Shang I
(Chin Yin)
Chin Yin is the founder of the Chin Ying Tong Temple. Its membership in mainland China is estimated, today, to be
around 20 to 60 million people. Family genealogy records from Prince Shang I (Chin Yin), the Chou Dynasty Emperor's
lineage, are maintained by the Chow clan family temple (Chin Ying Tong). Records in the family hall (temple) have
been maintained up to present.
From about 260 BC to 220 BC, the Chou clan migrates away from capitol city and continued their family succession line,
first traveling to Tai Yuan, Shan-hsi Province, then migrating, about a thousand years later, to the Chejiang (Zhejiang)
Province, near the mouth of the Yangtze River.
Chow P'an Lung of the Chejiang Province is chosen as the Chou clan succession descendant. Chow P'an Lung sets about to
build his empire and family circle. He sits for the prestigious government civil service examination and is accused of
cheating. He is not promoted, nor given a government post.

* Chow Tso Min (1884-1956) is the founder of the Kincheng Banking Corporation and was noted for his pioneering efforts
in the development of modern banking in north China. He went to college at Nanyang Academy and studied law at Kyoto
Imperial University. Tso-min served as section chief in the treasury department of the Ministry of Finance in China
and was promoted to the position of Director of that department. Tso-min, later, became a member of the board of
directors of the Bank of China and served as the Chairman of the Peiping (Beijing) Bankers Association and Peiping
(Beijing) Chamber of Commerce.
** Chow En-lai (1898-1976) Premier of China. One of three of China's top leaders, Mao Tse-tung, Chou En-lai, and Teng
Hsiao-ping. The late Premier Chou is cousins to (1) Chow Shu-jen (Lu Hsun), renown and famous writer, social critic
and legendary figure in China, (2) Chow Tso-jen, essayist and scholar, and (3) Chow Chien-jen, governor of Chejiang
Province in 1958.
Chow P'an Lung creates a traditional Chinese marriage bond, joining the families from which come the late SUN Yat-sen
and the late CHIANG Kai-shek to the Chou clan as cousins.

P'an Lung sends his sons to Hawaii and travels on to San Francisco at an elderly age. P'an Lung had planned to travel
to the family's ancient ancestral home in Shushan, but dies on route. A stand-in is left in his place in China. His
remains are returned to China, where he is now buried. On CHOW P'an Lung's death bed, it is reportedly said, he called
out to his four younger sons "Lin, Soong, Kin, Young" and transpired. The naming or calling out of his four younger
son's names carried the meaning of "Give praise to Chow Lin, (family be) strong forever" and Chow P'an Lung thereupon
expired.
In Hawaii, Ah You is the oldest son, the family adopts him as father. Shu Yu is known in Hawaii as Ah Ling, which
translates as respectful or humble spirit.

In the name of Chow Lin, or by his own doing and family funds, many family members are brought over from mainland
China to Hawaii. Members of the Lau, Lum, Chang, Chun, and Aisin Gioro families (main lineage Princes and Emperor's
line of descent).
Because our family are the lineage descendants of the Northern Chou Dynasty, we brought the chief descendant of the
descendancy of Young Chien, who in 581 AD unified all of China, to Hawaii.
Marriage ties are created between the last remaining remnants of the Aisin Gioro Imperial Clan and traditional Chinese
honors are bestowed upon Chow Lin by the Imperial mandate of the Aisin Gioro family. Emperor Tao Kuang's second son's
descendancy lineage holder bestows royal honor upon Chow Lin's son and adopts Chow Lin's son as his own into the
Imperial Aisin Gioro line as the prime mandate holder. Aisin Gioro Kang Pu is installed as Ho P'ing Di, 11th Emperor
of the Ch'ing Dynasty, by the few last remaining functionaries of the Ch'ing Court and at the request of Aisin Gioro
P'u Lun during his last remaining years.
Lastly, many prominent families were brought to Hawaii by Chow Lin and clan, including the descendants of Lum Tse-hsu
(1785-1850), Ho Chiao-tao (1824-1862), Leong Chi-chao (1873-1929) and a host of others.
Most of the descendants of the Court that had installed CHOU Shun Cheong as Emperor, at the conclusion of the Ming
Dynasty, October 30 1644, were brought to Hawaii as family or clan members.
P'an Lung's four younger sons (biological and adopted) represents the nucleus of the entire Imperial Chou Dynasty
descending from CHOU Shun Cheong. It was P'an Lung's wish and last request that these sons and/or their descendants
would return to China to fulfill their family's heritage and Imperial mandate.
