Jeffrey Paul Zweig II Director, Writer, Producer, Actor Jeff Zweig was born and raised in NorthWest Indiana. Growing up in a family with a taste for good stories, it was not long for Jeff to acquire this himself and sought to write his own comics and performing in community theater for a majority of his youth. His passion was lit for movies when he believed that movies should not be made just to be made, but should have a well built story. It wasn't until his freshmen year of high school that his imagination began to take shape, creating the foundation of what would eventually become Zi-Com Productions with his comic that inspired Dark Knight of Gail, amoung other works. Although his interest in theater (as well as acting altogether) significantly decreased, he took an opportunity to take TV Production courses, and thus sparked his interest in film making. It was his Sophmore year when he met Nolan that things were becoming possible. Although not much was every redily produced, the experience he would gain would further lay the foundation of his career. 2003-2004 was a significant year for Jeff, having gotten back into the theater ring in performances of Priates of Penzance, The Laramie Project, and RAGTIME, and making Senior Advisor of the in house school TV station, Jeff's year ended with a bang with the production of his first two films: A Hero Lost and The Sickener. Since his separation from NWI, Jeff has spent a majority of his time writing and learning the business side of the industry. His attempts to produce new films met with disaster in one form or another. It wasn't until 2006 that Jeff reunited with Nolan at ISU that the completed their third film, RISEN, which garnered favorable reponse to college student of ISU and IUB. While attending ISU he currently developing his next film with Los Cineastas while interning at SONY in California over the summer. |
