Lisbon, Portugal

I traveled to Lisbon for work in January of 2001.  What a wonderful city. This is Europe's secret.  The city has a rich history and it's people are some of the nicest I've met in my European travels. I didn't have much time for leisure, but I managed to visit some great parts of the city.  Check it out...

A typical Lisbon street.  This one leads to the Se Cathedral.  The hospitality of the citizens of Lisbon is  endearing.  I stopped in a small boutique on this street and picked up a couple of postcards and local crafts.  The shopowner threw in a picture of the shop and told me "so you will remember our city".

View from the Torre de Belem.  My picture of the tower is horrible because it's so overcast, but I thought this one looking out over the river was acceptable.
