As far as religion goes, I don’t really have one, just various beliefs. When I was
God... Seems like a good place to get started. I mean, it’s what religion is all about,
The Bible... Honestly I've never read it, but I do have a copy. It's not in good condition,
Heaven and Hell... I’ve heard good theory on these places that even I could agree
Religion... Where did it come from? It had to come from somewhere, but where?
Energy... Right now the smallest particle that I can think of is the Quark, then next
young (around 4 years) I used to go to a church of Christ not far from home, but
when my parents stopped going, so did I. After that I fadded away from organized
religion. For the longest time I wouldn’t have thought twice about something like
that. But when I started into high school I came to be friends with a character named
George. For the first couple years I knew him, we talked about many different
onlooks of life and religions, (which he’s gathered from thinking on many books
through his years) and I had really no idea what the heck he was talking about. Finally
I pieced some of what he said about energy together, and ever since I’ve been
gradually building on that and making new connections with what made sense. Of
course there are some topics he discussed that I didn’t agree with, but that’s bound
to happen. So now, years later, I know enough into philosophe to accurately express
the ideas in my own words. So for the rest of this page I’m going to try and state/
explain some of those opinions. Some of it I might not explain well, so if it’s all
gibberish to you, maybe try reading it again or think about it a bit, it should make sense.
right? I do believe in God, after years of thinking, I finally pieced together a theory
about it (with help of others). The idea of God being supreme being/identity has to
be completely dropped. Instead picture you and everything around you, the chair
you’re sitting on, the building you’re in, your town/city, and so on, even the air. Know
that everything is invisibly connected by energy, which actually can be seen, but you
have to train your eye to see it well. The most known name for this energy would be
the holy spirit, except I don’t really like that name, so I’ll call it the spirit of life
(sound good? I just made it up). My belief is that God is the energy in and around us.
(I’d call it something else besides God.. but what?) If you believe in the holy spirit,
you should be able to make a connection with this. People use the holy spirit through
prayer, and there are signs that this does work (any concrete evidence, I’ve no idea).
When praying you’re directing your energy to... someone, (I suppose) and since
we’re all connected through energy (the holy spirit/God) your prayers can reach whom
you’re praying for. Group prayer is a better way in that there are more people praying
for the same thing, so more energy is being sent.
A new thought, they say that God knows all: what you’re doing and thinking, what
your friends are doing and thinking, what everyone and everything is doing. When I
first heard this it seemed rather far fetched, I mean how is it possable that God
could know all of that? Not being able to argue against Christianity, Because it does
seem to be on to something, (it’s just been looked at a little different through the
years) just like most religions out there, There has to be a logical way for this to be
true.. or else it would all be wrong, and then what would everyone do? But if God
is the holy spirit, which I think of as the spirit of life, we are all a part of this energy,
which means God is a part of us- or we’re a part of God. So if this is true and God
is the energy in and all around us, God could know what we’re doing and thinking
and everything else that goes on in life, because God is everything that’s going on
in life.
A different thought, how can all the actions of so many people and things be part
of God’s plan? I had some thoughts about this, then read in a friends’ letter where
he explained his view about it, the idea was close to my thoughts I couldn’t help
but agree. Everything happens a certain way for a reason, like in chemistry... if you
mix a yellow potion with a blue potion and get a pink potion, when you wanted a
blue potion, it’s not because something went wrong, it’s because the contents of
the potions could only react one way, and that turned out to be the pink potion. (If
you could go back and change the settings/potions a bit you might get a blue potion
next time.) The same would apply to every event since the orgin of time (whenever
and however that may be). One thing happened and had to cause this, then something
else happened and caused that. And so on and so on for a few billion yeah, the next
thing we knew people were roaming all over the earth. The actions of people are
kinda the same way, from the time someone is born they are effected by their
surroundings (and genetics) and their personality starts to evolve. If someone is
brought up in the church they are likely to be a strong believer in that church, or
if someone is brought up outside of church, they are likely to not believe in that
church. So the thoughts and actions of you and the people around you are spawned
from your/their childhood and adulthood experiences. People can turn out anywhere
from A. Lincoln to A. Hitler, and maybe even Jason (Halloween movies). But since
the orgin of thought is a mystery (so far as I know) that part of the theory can’t be
proved 100%.
but all there pages are still there I think. Intentions are to read it, I've been wanting to
for quite awhile. I haven't had much drive to read recently, so I haven't gotten around
to it yet. People I know that have read it say it contradicts itself. Eventually I'll go through
it and find out what all the contraversey is about. So until then, I can't really say anything
about it. When I do read it I'll probably rewrite this part again.
with, kind of wish I had thought of it on my own, but the original credit will have to
go elsewhere. Heaven: the most wonderful place that you could imagine, and Hell:
the worst possable place you can imagine, both are widely known as where you
go in the afterlife (some believe you are reincarnated, I won’t argue any of the above
or not stated for simple fact that, I have no idea what happenes after you die). If
you’re opened for ideas, how about this one... Life before death, it can have it’s
highlights and be really enjoyable, and it’s downsides and totally suck ass. I want
to tell you that Heaven and Hell are here on Earth, as we speak (or read). If you love
life and truly enjoy it, than you are in heaven, because you are completely happy
with who and where you are. If you aren’t completely happy, which not many
people are, than life can start to turn into a Hell. (Hell on Earth, who would’ve
guessed.) So Heaven and Hell are easily your outlook on life: the more you enjoy it...
the more you hate it... it’s all right here with us. Monty Python had a good idea in their
movie “The meaning of life.” Enjoy life! And don’t let it get you down. It might not
be a all-inspiring piece of wisdom, but it’s a damn good one to go by, don’t you
think?
There once was a time when mankind hadn’t thought about it, and was content in
hunting down a wild animal and eating it to survive, right? This is an improved theory
on where religion came from, compared to what I had written here, it’s much less
conspiracy oriented, but still only an opinion. Have you ever wondered where we
all came from? How did all this get here? What’s the point of it all? people have been
wondering this for thousands of years, even before 10,000 years ago people were
wondering about this. At some time people became curious and started looking for an
answer to this great question, they looked to the stars and watched their patterns
and how they moved. They developed theories involving constellations and great Gods
that lived in the stars, in the Heavens. They built monuments directed towards the
constellations: the Spinx- 10,500 b.c; The Great Pyramid- 2,000 b.c. (directed its
pharaoh to the home of the gods, in Orion’s belt); Ancor Wat- 700 a.d. No one has
been able answer the questions “where did we come from?” and “why are we here?”
except to say that we we're put here by a higher purpose. I’m not speaking against
that idea, but with it. There is something underlying life that keeps it evolving and
changing when new things are discovered, and personally I have no idea what it is
exactly. But people believed that a greater God was out there, and people expanded
on the idea and became specific about it. And now, thousands of years, a Christ
and a Budda later, there’s hundreds of different beliefs and religions that make up
modern life. There ended up being a lot of conflict between religions, (which this and
greed for land are the orgins of war) but if you stop to think about it, there’s
not really any reason to fight over religion, because they’re all trying to get to the same
thing, to answer the great mystery of life.
up is the Proton (or Neutron and Electron), the Atom, Molecule and so on. But if you
keep going smaller and smaller you'll eventually end up with energy. This is one of
the things that I do believe. Energy makes up everything that you see, and of course
everything you don't see. Energy can be controlled and at many different levels. The
movies Phenomenon and Powder are really good examples of this. Since everything in
the Universe is made up of energy everything is interconnected. So if one thing wasn't
there, the energy would be gone, which means the universe (or everything in that
energy spectrum) would cease to exist.
