Sample 1
I am a disciplined person. I think I adopted this characteristic during the 2 years study in a boarding school in England when I was fifteen years old. Each day I had to wake up at a certain time in the morning, wash and dress then line up outside the house and walk to the dining hall with the rest of the boarders. There were a lot of things that we were not allowed to do, for example, speaking Chinese with other Chinese boarders, talking on the way to the dining hall. There were many more that I couldn’t remember. I had to go to sleep at half past nine at night. All these made me becoming a disciplined person. Now, I have my own schedule to follow. I clean my house on every Monday. I work out almost every day to keep my ideal weight. But I will try not to bother other people with my disciplines. I sometimes think that being too disciplined might not be a positive characteristic

Dear San Francisco Department of Public Works.
I am writing about a problem on Geary Street. In front of my house at 1415 Geary there is too much graffiti on the sidewalk. They all contain inappropriate language. There is a school nearby and many children pass by our street. I have been trying to contact many organizations but no one has helped me.
Could you help me please in this matter

Sample 3
I am a tall blond woman, still in shape. I have a usual Slavic face with blue eyes and a turned up nose. Unfortunately, my skin has started to sag. Forty-one! Well, I am still flexible and that makes me move gracefully. I like to move.
At the same time I am awkward and don't know where to put my arms while talking, especially with officials. I feel shy and little. I can't control people. It's not easy for me to make new friends, but I always enjoy my old ones. I am friendly, but not always. I like to talk to my 80-year old neighbor who is getting childish. I am grumpy with my husband when he doesn't put things in their right places. That doesn't mean that I am organized; I just can’t handle disorganization. I can't be grumpy with my kids, because they are cute and trusting.

Sample 4
I have a very tough ( no, not tough..... I better say UNUSUAL life ), going through many different things. Sometimes, I watch other people. They can jump, run, dance, swim and I can not. It's very simple some people can do it and some people cannot.
At the same time I have never been jealous of anybody. I am a very happy and optimistic person. When I am very upset about something I imagine what if I would be blind or paralised? People in that situation feel much worse then I am. I have to be happy for what I have, right? And I am saying to myself- " Thanks God, I am able to see and to move!"

I have 2 children, a boy and a girl. The combination of the Chinese character ¡§boy¡¨ and ¡§girl¡¨ make another Chinese character ¡§Good¡¨. My daughter is 3 years older than my son. She helps me with taking care of her younger brother. When it comes to diapers changing time, she always hands me the new diaper. She watches her younger brother while I am cooking in the kitchen. She plays with her toys next to her baby
brother¡¦s bed and often falls asleep leaning on the side of his bed. My son doesn¡¦t do much, only eat, sleep and cry. He cries when he is hungry or sleepy. It is lucky that he doesn¡¦t cry too often in the middle of the night. I think both of them are adorable and I am sure all mothers would think the same about their children.
