WEEKLY COURSE INFO:
Week 1 - What to do for next class:
1) Read the course plan and course info documents again - ask any questions next class
2) Get your books (available at the Zone in Pollack-Desjardins)
3) Print the Course Notes (to reduce the amount of paper you use: click on PRINT > PROPERTIES > FINISHING > select PRINT ON BOTH SIDES; and under PAGES PER SHEET select 2 PAGES PER SHEET)
4) For week 3 - Answer the Grammar Study Guide questions for the review chapters (pp. 50-57 in the Course Notes); do the necessary exercises for these chapters in the grammar book
5) Prepare your bibliography web site presentations (see the course info document)
6) Get a novel that follows the specified criteria (see the course info document) and bring it to the next class.
Week 2 - What to do for next class:
.1- Answer grammar study guide questions for review chapters (Course Notes, pp. 50-57); do necessary exercises for these chapters in the grammar book
2- Begin reading your novel if it has been approved; prepare novel progress report #1 and vocabulary assignment #1 (see course info document)
3- formative writing #1 – optional; due next class
4- Read information and do exercises for writing (Course Notes, pp. 16-19) + reading (Course Notes, pp. 23-26)
5- Complete the false cognates #1 exercise (Course Notes, pp. 27-30) - check answers with answer key

Week 3 - What to do for next class:
1- Grammar Study Guide Questions(Course Notes, p. 58) and exercises (in the grammar book) for present modals
2- Next novel progress report and vocabulary assignment in 2 weeks
3- Complete Grammar terms exercises on pp.64-65 in the Course Notes – check answers with answer key
4 – LAB 02 – AT HOME – review of present tenses and the final –s sound
Week 3 – Course Notes – Pages seen in class: 64, 75-79, 112, 87
Week 4 - What to do for next class:
1- Grammar ch 11 – study guide questions in the Course Notes (p. 59) and exercises in your book
2- Novel report #2 + vocabulary assignment #2 for next week
3- Formative writing assignment #1 - corrections (rewrite, double-space, underline corrections, and submit 2 copies next class)
4- Formative writing assignment #2 – use feedback information from #1 and submit next class
5- Complete exercises if not finished in class and check with answer key

Weeks 6, 7, 8, 9 - What to do for next class:
1- Prepare for Midterm reading and writing exams
2- Prepare for formative speaking evaluation
3- Continue reading your novel for week 10 (novel report #3) and bring prepare vocabulary to present to your group (assignment #3)
4- Corrected version of Formative writing assignment #2 - if you choose to do a corrected version, please rewrite it (double-spaced), underline the corrections and submit both copies at my office before next class
5- Grammar – Comparisons (chapter 9) – study guide questions in the Course Notes (p. 60) and exercises in book (for week 10)
6- Complete any unfinished exercises from this week's class (check answers in the answer key)

Week 10 - What to do for next class:
