Candle Dream

How do you reach a flower,
as your eyes seep from the color.
Entranced into her dreams,
as this seems the only
way to touch this lonely
silence surrounding the light.

The candles flame the only sound,
as I focus on her smooth heart.
Hands roam around the warmth,
and the surface of the quiet.
Words may not be said,
it may disturb the tranquility.

How do you go from a dream
into the realm of the present
while longing to feel her presence?
As I slip back into the unconscious,
this state of missing, awake;
I can't wait to sleep walk again.
