We received our referral on 8/30/99 - Zou Yong Lin, residing in Yong Feng Welfare Institute, born 10/14/98. It was love at first sight. We had requested 0 - 6 months age at referral. GWCA had forewarned us that we probably wouldn’t get a baby that age. We just wanted to get her out of the orphanage and into our family as young as possible and I wanted to go through some of the baby stage. I was hoping for under a year at referral. Zou Yong Lin was ours from the second her e-mailed referral picture appeared on our computer screen. We picked out the name, Zoe, early in the process. We already had a diaper bag with "Zoe" monogrammed on it. We did discuss a few other more common names before the referral as we thought it might be easier for her. The similarity between Zou and Zoe decided it. She would be Zoe Lin.
