A large starcruiser arrived to Coruscant. Coruscant was becoming a heavy guarded fortress with a lot of heavy armed starships around it. A small spaceship descended from the large starcruiser to Coruscant. It arrived on a spaceport. From it came Anakin Skywalker. He came back from another successful army mission in the Republic. He successfully solved another conflict and established peace and stability, with the help of fear and a powerful army force. Later that day Yoda summoned Anakin to him. There were also some other High Jedi Masters and Obi-Wan Kenobi at the meeting. The tension in the air was very high. Yoda tried for another time to solve the conflict between Anakin and the other Jedi Knights. He didn't like that Anakin obeyed more Palpatine than himself. Anakin was a Jedi Knight and he should work for the interest of the Jedis and not for the military interest of Palpatine. But Anakin was disappointed and also angry on Yoda and the other Jedis. After more than ten years of crises in the Republic, Palpatine succeeded in establishing a united and powerful Republic and bringing again stability and peace to the Republic. And not only that the Jedis didn't help Palpatine they criticized him and tried to disqualify him. He was the only Jedi that saw the truth and helped Palpatine. Anakin walked angry away from the meeting.
After Anakin left, the Jedis were absorbed in their thoughts for a long time. Then someone said that there was nothing that they could do about it any more. They all looked at Yoda. He knew the final decision would bi his. He agreed, they should go with their plan. It was the hardest decision for Yoda in his life. They had thoroughly discussed it and planned it in the last months. Anakin was becoming more and more powerful. Also the Dark side of the Force was becoming stronger in him. He wasn't himself anymore. It was just a question of time, when he would become completely absorbed by the Dark side. The Jedis should at any cost prevent that. It was their mistake that Anakin became what he was now. And it was their duty to set the things right again. They decided to murder Anakin. They decided that Anakin deserves a honored dead by lightsaber.
Anakin was in his starcruiser around a planet. The Republic army just defeated the local rebellion. It was a quick and easy victory. To easy for Anakin. But he thought that his growing reputation was helping him. He was landing on the planet to personally depose the ruler and establish the army protectorate. He liked that part. The planet had a lot of spectacular high mountain-ridges. Between the ridges there was a sea of high poisonous gas. On the ridges were industry facilities and cities. It was a rich world, because the poisonous gas had also a high economical value. Anakin and his personal guard came to the spectacular main city. There were a lot of storm troopers in the city. When Anakin came to the headquarters the rebels started to attack the Republican army. The attack started in space, on the planet and in the headquarters. The surprise was complete. It was a trap thought Anakin. An excellent trap, the rebels had to have some help from someone inside the Republic or even from someone inside the Republic army. There was a heavy fight. The losses were heavy on either side. Anakin was trapped in the headquarters. His guard was already eliminated. He was alone. He was angry on himself, because he fell in this trap. It was his mistake. He was overconfident. He promised himself that that would never happen again in his life. As a powerful Jedi he could still fight himself out of the situation. But then five other Jedis appeared. They were all High Jedi Masters, without Yoda or Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin knew what this meant. It was a desperate situation. He could kill some Jedis, but five were to much. Even if he killed them all, there were still the rebel soldiers with heavy weapons, which were appearing in more and more numbers. Nothing was left to chance. He had to die that day. The spectacular fight between Anakin and the five Jedis began. Anakin was indeed a extreme powerful fighter, probably the best Jedi fighter ever born. During the long and heavy fight Anakin succeeded in killing two Jedis, but he was heavy wounded. They fought on a cliff above the poisonous gas. Anakin was again heavy wounded and he fell from the cliff. He caught himself on the rocks. But then he slipped lower, caught himself again, slipped lower again. It was a agony. Then he fell in the sea of the poisonous gas. It was over. The remaining three Jedis looked sadly after him.
Palpatine was extreme pissed of when he heard about the dead of Anakin. The official version was that the rebels killed him. Bat palpatine knew who did it. He would take revenge on the Jedis. He would outlaw them and their mysterious Force. He would made them illegal and then persecute them through the whole galaxy. The plan was already made in detail, but now that they eliminated Anakin he would speed it up. There should be no problem, because he had already the absolute majority in the Parliament.
Darth Sidious was in his secret place. His servants saved Anakin from the sea of the poisonous gas. Anakin was more dead then alive. He was connected to several machines and he had several heavy surgeries behind him. After several weeks in coma he was consciousness again. During the next weeks Darth Sidious healed him and opened him to the Dark side of the Force. From the beginning there was the Dark Force. The Force that the Jedis knew was only a smaller subset of the Dark Force. And now Anakin was exposed to the whole and much more powerful Dark force. Darth Sidious was the material implementation of the Dark Force. Several thousand years ago he wanted to rule the galaxy. But to rule the galaxy he first had to unify and centralize the political powers in the galaxy. He created a subset of the powerful Dark Force and established the Jedi Knights. The Jedi Knights never knew that their Force was only a subset of the Dark Force and that Darth Sidious was behind it. Darth Sidious manipulated the Jedi Knights so that the Republic was born. He waited for the consolidation of the Republic. Then in the last decades he started to take over the Republic. And Anakin would help him to finish his plan. Anakin was emotionally ruined and also hungry for revenge and for power. And the Dark Force gave much much more power. Darth Sidious made a special mask for Anakin, so he could live again disconnected from the machines. The wounds were to heavy to heal them completely. Darth Vader was born.
Padmé gave birth to a son in a hospital on Naboo. His father was Anakin. She got pregnant just before the Republic army invaded Naboo. After that she never saw Anakin again. She never tried to inform Anakin that he had a son. She named her son Luke. There was also a Jedi in the hospital who carefully watched Padmé and especially her son.
Palpatine was alone in his office when Darth Sidious and Darth Vader secretly visited him. Palpatine was shocked. He was told who Darth Vader really was. Darth Vader would, as Anakin before, lead the Republic army and help Palpatine establish a powerful Republic. The drawback for Palpatine was that he was not in command anymore. Officially yes, but secretly he would be under the command of Darth Sidious. He didn't like it, but he was wise enough to see that he had no chance opposing Darth Sidious. And also the extreme power of Darth Sidious attracted him. Darth Sidious plan was that in the next years he would slowly and secretly transform the Republic into an Empire and he would become the Emperor. The emperor of the greatest empire of all time in the galaxy.
The Jedis were in confusion. There was a meeting by Yoda of all the High Jedi Masters including Obi-Wan Kenobi. Palpatine just publicly renounced that Anakin was saved and that he came back as Darth Vader. He didn't mention a word about Darth Sidious. But the Jedis could feel the Dark Side of the Force in Darth Vader and the influence of the powerful Darth Sidious behind him. Also Palpatine was preparing the vote in parliament to outlaw the Jedis. They knew he would succeed. They had lost completely and there was nothing they could do about it. They made an emergency plan. They would leave Coruscant and disperse through the whole galaxy and hide for a while. Obi-Wan Kenobi got an important mission to fulfill. He had to kidnap Padmés son before the Dark side would find him and hide him very thoroughly. Luke was their only hope. The Force was very powerful with Luke, maybe even more powerful then it was with his father Anakin, when he was a boy.
The parliament voted with absolute majority to outlaw the Jedis, after Palpatine presented evidence that the Jedis were behind the attempt on Anakins life. Palpatine was pleased. Darth Vader started to hunt down the Jedis.
Darth Vather killed in a spectacular fight one of the three Jedis that tried to kill him. Then he went after the other two. Some Jedis were killed by storm troopers or in spaceships. The Dark side of the Force weakened the Force of the Jedis and it also located them in the galaxy. Slowly the Jedis were killed one by one.
Obi-Wan Kenobi hid for a while to prepare the plan for kidnapping Luke. He knew that Darth Vather was hunting down the Jedis. So he had to be very carefully. He came secretly to Naboo with two other Jedis. He met Padmé in her room with Luke. He explained to her why he came. She was shocked, she didn't want to leave Luke. She tried to convince Obi-Wan that Darth Vather would never found out that Luke was his son, so there was no need to hide him. But even she didn't believe that. Then she tried to convince Obi-Wan that she would accompany Luke. But Obi-Wan didn't allowed that. It was to risky. He already destroyed all the records and evidence on Naboo that Luke was born. Padmé had to stay on Naboo so there would be no suspicion. Still Padmé didn't want to leave Luke.
Darth Vather stepped into the room. It was a trap. He knew all along that he had a son. He just waited for Obi-Wan to appear. The spectacular fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vather started. It was a long and heavy fight. Darth Vather was stronger, but Obi-Wan had nothing to lose, so he fought as a wounded tiger driven in a corner. Obi-Wan lost the fight. When Darth Vather wanted to kill him Padmé stepped between them. She tried to wake the love in Anakin that he had for her. She talked to him, pleaded for the lives of Obi-Wan and Luke. Anakin had still some feelings left for her and for a moment he was lost. But then Darth Vather took over. When Padmé embraced Anakin, he killed her with his lightsaber.
Obi-Wan Kenobi was gone. He used the confusion of Darth Vather to escape with Luke. Luke was more important than Padmés or his life. He run with the child outside. The two Jedis that came with him were dead. The storm troopers waited for him outside. He started to run. Darth Vather and the storm troopers hunted him. It was a spectacular and long lasting chase through the main city of Naboo. At the end Obi-Wan escaped with Luke in his spaceship. He also escaped the starcruisers around Naboo. His first emergency stop was at a secret rebellion station not far from Naboo. There he would hide for a while to prepare the transport to the hiding place.
Darth Vather was summoned by Darth Sidious. Darth Sidious was satisfied. Almost everything went by plan. All the Jedis were eliminated. Almost all the Jedis. Only Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi with Luke escaped. Yoda was strong enough to shield himself from the Dark Force, so Darth Sidious couldn't locate him. Obi-Wan wasn't strong enough to do that, so he used the strong Force of Luke to shield them both. But that should not be a problem, thought Darth Sidious. Soon he would be the Emperor of his Empire and nobody could take that away from him.
Planet Tatooine. Obi-Wan Kenobi secretly arrived on the planet with Luke. He left Luke with the husband of Anakins mother on a small farm in the desert. To the family he explained the importance of hiding Luke and the importance of not telling him the true about his life. Obi-Wan also said to them that he would be near in the desert to protect Luke and them from the Dark side of the Force and his name from that moment on would be Ben Kenobi. At sunset Ben Kenobi slowly walked into the desert.
