A high level delegation from Antigua will visit Montserrat on Friday to discuss the proposed dumping of dredged material from the St. Johns Harbour close to Redonda.
Minister for the environment Vere Bird Junior will lead the delegation, which will include Chief Environment Officer Dion Blacklane and a technical officer from the Ministry of Fisheries.
While here the Antiguan team will hold talks with government ministers and officials from the Ministry of Agriculture.
Fishermen and experts are concerned that the dumping of dredged material near Redonda would affect important fishing grounds and damage the marine environment.
Minister responsible for the environment Margaret Dyer Howe says the Montserrat government needs some answers.
