Ailment of the Body or Mind | ||||||||
Poetry Index Main Page | ||||||||
A darkness ensues, spreads over us without warning. A pressure builds, forces us from moving. Breath short and shallow, we struggle against our own bonds. Yearning to be that which we once were. More do we try to stir, to break free. Tapping the power of ourselves, our will be done. Life returns, rushing upon us, filling our very being. No more may pain control. We exist. We endure. We survive. We live. |
