Society for Foodservice Management (SFM)
SFM is an organization whose members are primarily in the business and industry segment.  Over 1400 members represent all major national and regional foodservice contractors, independent operators, corporate liaison personell, and companies providing products and services to the industry.
National Association of College and University Food Service (NACUFS)

Professional association for campus foodservice directors and support staff at over 500 colleges and universities throughout the United States, Canada, and abroad.
National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA)

An organization whose interest are commercial and foodservice vending.  Their members operate vending machines in all segments of the industry.  Some members are manufacturs of vending machines and related equipment and others are suppliers to the vending industry.

American School Food Service Association (AFSFA)

Represents professionals active in elementary and secondary foodservice operations.  ASFSA is an organization whose membership is composed of both hourly and salaried personell.  It provides educational and training programs offering certification status from the lowest hourly position to the highest management positions.  In effect, they hace established performance standards for their industry segment.
American Society for Hospital Food Service Administrators (ASHFSA)

A subsidiary of parent American Hospital Association (AHA).  It's memebers are all professional foodservice directors of health care institutions.
American correctional Food Service Association (ACFSA)

An organization dedicated to the professional management of foodservice operations in the nation's correctional institutions.  It's memebers, both self-operators and contractors, represent over 1,200 adult institutions in an industry segment comprising $1 billion in food purchases annually.
American Dietetic Association (ADA)

The ADA is an association of professionally and technically trained dieticians.  They are active in all segments of the foodservice industry with a strong emphasis on the noncommercial and institutional segments, particularly health care.
