Emily's Artwork
I am still amazed at this one, Quite clearly, I can see a striking picture of a T-Rex dinasour in this painting, but Emily insisted that it was not.  "Just painting" she said.
She used a broken brush and stabbed the paper with it.
These pictures are all created by Emily, at home, with no help from me other than getting her the pencils, paints and paper out for her.  She has a love of drawing, and draws or paints almost every day. I have scanned them and added a border to them as well as a brief description going by what she said at the time. I love to watch her as she does her art in her own style.
And this one looks a little like an underwater scene.  Each single mark was made seperately, changing colour with every stroke. She takes her time, and then is quite sure when she is finished, almost as if she is happy that she has achieved the look she wanted.
Em concentrated so hard on this one.  The up and down was all in one motion, slowly and carefully.  I was writing a letter and she said she was writing too.
I don't quite know where the idea for the snakes came along, but that's what she said
Emily uses watercolours so beautifully, mixing and changing them all along the way.
This was done against a window, she insisted on changing colours with every print, so there was lots of cleaning up. (This one won an award.. check it out at the bottom of this page!)

Emily loves to do art like this.  I don't know how many pop sticks she has used so far, and how many bottles of glitter glue too but I just love the effects almost as much as she does!
