Principal Kelly |
Name: Robert Edward Kelly
Job: Principal of Bayville High
Edward is a very obscure character, he despises mutants. He hates the fact that students in his school are mutants, he would do anything to get rid of them, even if it includes violence. Principal Kelly is the successor of Raven Darkholme (Mystique), when he got in this new school, he knew something was wrong. There were constant accidents, like earthquakes, destruction of school property, mysterious disappearances and behaviors, but he never knew why until now. He considers mutants to be a threat to society, Edward Kelly will play an important role in anti-mutant movements I feel (in fact, I know lol).

Original Senator Kelly |
Despite
his anti-mutant politics, Senator Robert Kelly was a man of honor and
principle. In sharp contrast to bigots like assassinated presidential candidate
Graydon Creed, he opposed the persecution of the innocent based solely on their
genetic differences. Swayed by the heroic efforts of a dying mutant, Kelly died
sympathetic to the cause of those he had hated and feared almost his entire
adult life.Real name: Robert Edward Kelly
Occupation: Former U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, seeking the presidency at
the time of his death
Group affiliation: Formerly the U.S. Senate
Base of operations: Formerly Washington, D.C.
First appearance: Uncanny X-Men #141 (1981)Height: 5'10"
Weight: 175 lbs.
Eye color: Brown
Hair color: Brown, with graying temples
History: As member of the U.S. Senate, Robert Kelly long regarded the growing
number of mutants as a threat to national security. To cope with this supposed
danger, he promoted legislation such as the Mutant Registration Act. If passed,
the law would have required genetically empowered individuals to disclose their
abilities to the government.
This proposal prompted the team of genetic terrorists known as the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants to attempt to terminate Kelly in Washington, D.C. The Brotherhood's assassination agenda was quashed by the X-Men, an outlaw band of mutant adventurers standing in defense of a world that had come to hate and fear their kind.
The failed assassination attempt fueled the Senator's resolve to pass the Registration Act. He cultivated a partnership with industrialist Sebastian Shaw, who oversaw the construction of mutant-hunting Sentinel androids and supported Kelly's efforts. Unknown to the Senator, Shaw was a mutant and the Black King of the elite social organization known as the Hellfire Club. Following a meeting with Shaw in New York, the Senator's limousine was demolished by debris from a fight involving the X-Men. Kelly survived -- but his wife, Sharon, died in the wreckage. Kelly's grief strengthened his belief that mutants were too dangerous to be allowed to run rampant, and he pushed for the production of additional Sentinels.
Kelly supported Operation: Zero Tolerance, a government-sponsored initiative to rid the world of mutants, until he discovered that the android called Bastion was using the program as cover to convert innocent humans into Sentinels and trample on the rights of U.S. citizens. When Kelly withdrew his support, the Senator became one of the Sentinels' primary targets. Fearing for his life, he called on the object of much of this political rhetoric: the X-Men. To shut down Bastion, Kelly wielded his political influence to enlist the aid of the worldwide intelligence and peacekeeping organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. His political views unaffected by the experience, Kelly declared his candidacy for president on an anti-mutant platform.
To ensure his safety against another assassination attempt by the Brotherhood, the Senator accepted mutant mentor Charles Xavier's offer of assistance. But even after adding the time-tossed mutant freedom fighter called Cable to Kelly's personal security detail, the X-Men were unable to fend off the Brotherhood. That task fell to Pyro, a former member of the Brotherhood infected with the lethal Legacy Virus. As the armor-plated Post maneuvered toward Kelly at a rally in Boston, Pyro spent the final manifestation of his flame-throwing power to kill the assassin and save the Senator's life. Pyro's selfless act finally prompted the Senator to re-evaluate his stance on mutants. Ironically, an anti-mutant activist believed the Senator had betrayed his human brothers by toning down his rhetoric and murdered him. Kelly died in Cable's arms, a martyr to the cause of mutant rights.

Bruce Davison |
Bruce Davison plays Senator Kelly in the x-men movie. Here is some info about him:
Bruce was born on the 28th of June,
1946 in Philadelphia Penn. He currently resides in L.A. with his
wife Lisa Pelikan and their son. Audiences, as well as reviewers, have always
marveled at Bruce's versatility and the power and subtlety of his performances.
"When Bruce was first starting out,
he received some very good advice from director Robert Aldrich. “Kid,"
Aldrich said, "be a character actor. Hero or villain, character actors
always work.” True to that advice, Bruce has had a career rich with a variety
of roles, both hero and villain, and all shades in between. The range of his
projects reflects that versatility. Being an actor is all Bruce has ever wanted
to do, ever since his college days at Penn State where he initially started out
as an art major. But fate led him to accompany a college friend to her
audition of COME BACK, LITTLE SHEBA, and he was forever hooked after that."

As Willard in the 1971 horror
thriller of the same name, this blond, wide-eyed actor played a disturbed
outcast who dispatched
an army of rats to devour his enemies. Almost 20 years later he was
Oscar-nominated for his sensitive portrayal of a man caring for his dying,
AIDS-infected lover in Longtime
Companion A respected actor on stage and
television (and a tyro director who cut his teeth on the "Harry and the
Hendersons" series in which he starred), he's certainly come a long way
since debuting on the big screen in 1969's coming-of-age drama Last
Summer His performance as a child molester in
the chilling prison drama Short
Eyes (1977) is a particular highlight on his résumé.
