The Authors
DANA P. ROWE (Music) wrote the score for the operetta The Reluctant Dragon, incidental music for The Greeks, original songs and arrangements for the children's television series "Jelly Bean Jungle," and most recently wrote music and lyrics and co-authored the book for the musical But Not for Me, which premiered at the Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton, featuring Avery Sommers.  He has considerable credits writing, performing, and arranging for Players Theatre Columbus, the Ohio State University Opera Theatre, the Indiana University Opera Theatre, Florida Shakespeare Festival and Zurlow Productions.  He is currently collaborating on two new musicals with John Dempsey, Cal: A musical Tale of relative Insanity and Julian Keyes.
JOHN DEMPSEY (Book and Lyrics) first worked with Dana Rowe on the children's operetta The Reluctant Dragon, based on the short story by Kenneth Grahame.  This musical premiered at Players Theatre Columbus, as did the musical A Country Christmas Carol, which Mr. Dempsey wrote in collaboration with composer David Tolley and playwright Ed Graczyk.  He has provided book and lyrics for Circles and Dick Whittington, and book, music, and lyrics for Menage -- a three part affair in one act.  Plays include World Today, The Greater Goode, and One Miracle in a Lifetime, for which he was awarded an Ohio Arts Council Fellowship for Playwriting.  He is currently collaborating with Mr. Rowe on two new musicals, Cal: A Musical Tale of Relative Insanity and Julian Keyes.

Wong and David Ogden Stiers; A Little Night Music starring Betty Buckley; world premiere of Jekyll & Hyde by David Levy, Leslie Eberhard and Phil Hall; The Glass Menagerie, The Desert Song featuring the New York City Opera principals; Vanities, and numerous concerts for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.  Awards: Kansas City Drama Desk and People's Choice Awards for Best Director and Best Show for his production of the Yeston/Kopit Phantom.
