ZORRO TIMELINE

[Author’s Note: After many hours of watching the series (it’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!), and much discussion (thanks Billy, Ruth, Katie, Linda, and especially David, “He Who Knows All Things Zorro”), here is the timeline for the Duncan Regehr Zorro.]


1788 – Diego and Gilberto born in Madrid (The Arrival)

1788 – King Charles of Spain dies

1790 – Don Alejandro leaves the army and returns to California with Diego and Elena (Alejandro Rides Again)

1792 – Victoria Escalante born (The Devil’s Fortress, The Word, and Kidnapped)

1800 – Elena de la Vega dies (The Unhappy Medium, All that Glitters)

1800 – Felipe born (The Devil’s Fortress, The Word, Kidnapped)

1807 – Diego travels to Guadalajara for a family funeral, and finds Felipe on the way back (Family Business)

1807 – King Ferdinand regains the throne of Spain

1808 – Diego leaves for Spain

1810 – Victoria’s mother killed (August Revolution = September Revolution)

1811 – Victoria inherits the tavern (The Devil’s Fortress, Zorro: The Legend Begins)

1812 – Diego returns from Spain; Zorro is born (flashback events of Zorro: The Legend Begins)

1815 – Four-year drought begins (Water, It’s a Wonderful Zorro)

1819 – The Newcomers to Miracle of the Pueblo

1820 – A Woman Scorned to Zorro: A Conspiracy of Blood (The Arrival, Death and Taxes, Conundrum, and The Discovery)

1821 – Mexico wins her independence

1822 – California finds out

1822 – Vienna Conference
