CAMPUS FILM SERIES SHOWS FREE MOVIES
The film series is part of Campus Activities Council
Do you want to go to the movies this fall, but you can't afford the tickets?
No problem. Just see the movies presented by the Campus Film Series.
The series, a component of the Campus Activities Council, airs free movies once a week in Dale Hall. This fall, the movies will be presented at 8 p.m. Sundays in rooms 200 or 201.
"The film schedule will be released soon," said Andy Longo, staff sponsor for the Campus Film Series. The movies that will be shown this fall haven't been selected yet, he said.
"We've had good turn-out in the past," Longo said. "The idea is to pick movies students are going to be interested in seeing."
The selected movies tend to be recently-released hits, all about a year old. The Campus Film Series gets them from Swank Motion Pictures, a St. Louis distributor.
Last semester's movies included Happy Gilmore, Ransom, Jerry Maguire, The English Patient, Get On the Bus, The People Versus Larry Flynt, Groundhog Day, and Swingers. The last three movies shown were Academy-Award winners, including Jerry Maguire.
