DR. MARY GRODA-LEWIS, M.D.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Geocities has decided to close down permanently on October 26th of this year. Therefore, I have moved all my Web sites to Webs.com. Here is a link to my new version of this Web page: Dr. Mary Groda-Lewis, M.D..
Mary Groda-Lewis is a family physician with an unusual history. As a diagnosed dyslexic who didn't learn to read till she was 16, a juvenile offender who did time in two reform schools, an unwed mother by age 20, and a stroke victim, she was forced to overcome overwhelming odds to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor. She has since worked as an award-winning physician with a reputation for integrity and caring. Her life story has been told in newspapers, magazines, and Web sites, and was made the subject of an October 8, 1985 CBS-TV movie, Love, Mary (starring Kristy McNichol).
Below are 11 newspaper, magazine, and Internet articles about Mary Groda-Lewis. The first four were originally published during the mid-1980s, and the last two were published on separate Internet Web sites in 2000 and 2001. All have been copied onto Web pages of my own making.
