The group celebrates Bonham’s birthday with a memorable show. Plant’s voice is in its best shape in quite some time, as he’s managed to find an effective way to sing despite not being able to hit the ridiculously high notes he could in years past - nevertheless, one scream during 'Black Dog' brings back memories of the earlier days. Page also plays very well with a sprained finger, which isn’t even noticeable—good version of ‘Dazed and Confused’ here, with some nice chords introducing the ‘San Francisco’ section. The group does a silly little ‘Happy Birthday’ for Bonham before getting into the 'Heartbreaker'/'Whole Lotta Love' segue, a feature of the 1973 American tours¾'Whole Lotta Love' is much less of a medley now and includes only the 'Boogie Woogie' segment after the theremin instrumental. Both ‘The Ocean’ and ‘Communication Breakdown’ were typical encores for this era - unsual intro for the latter here.
