In late 1969, while The Beatleswere recording "Let It Be" in Abbey Road Studios in London, the Stones were across town in Trenden Studios with Nicky Hopkins breaking in their new guitarist, Mick Taylor. Their best efforts, some finished numbers, some intrumental backing tracks and some earlier recordings were presented on two rare acetates which are available now on this album. The result is a historical look at where the Stones had been, where they were going and a rare chance to hear them at work in the studio. |
