AERO-BIO:

Steven Tyler sat in the audience watching the Jam Band. He admits, they couldn't even tune their instruments but he liked them. Soon two members of that Jam Band, Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton, joined up with Steven (the vocalist and drummer) to form a then nameless band. Steven decided to stick to just being the front man this time, so soon they hired Joey Kramer as drummer. Their first pick for their second guitarist was Ray Tabano (Steven's old buddie), but after moving everyone to Boston they found out he didn't work quite so well. Finally Brad Whitford was drafted to fit in the band that Joey named Aerosmith. (lets skip some of the middle here) After a while of praticing they played for a record executive and were signed on the spot! They released AEROSMITH and GET YOUR WINGS with very little appeal. One single from AEROSMITH called Dream On however did do well farther down the road. Aerosmith was already earning their stripes as a touring band and by the time they put out TOYS IN THE ATTIC they were a success. ROCKS came next, and if TOYS got them to the top ROCKS shot them to outer space! Aerosmith was now bigger than life. Unfortunatly so was their drug addiction. With the release of DRAW THE LINE and the tour there after Aerosmith started to fall into a pit of drugs money and sex. NIGHT IN THE RUTS's sales proved to be alot lower than usual and Steven could barely stand on stage. By the time ROCK IN A HARD PLACE was due to release Joe Perry and Brad Whitford had quit (forming their own solo projects). They were replaced by Jimmy Crespo and Rick Dufay. It was good, but most say it wasn't Aerosmith. It was time to give up...or was it? After a while (long while) Joe and Steven decided to give it one more try. They put out DONE WITH MIRRORS it did nothing. It was time for change. The band confronted Steven and forced him into rehab. The rest slowly followed. The now sober Aerosmith released PERMANENT VACATION. With videos like Dude Looks like A Lady and Ragdoll they appealed to a new younger audience! Aerosmith was back on top. By the time PUMP was released they were a world wide sucess again. GET A GRIP brought even more fame (and more awards) to the bad boys of Boston. When it was time for NINE LIVES however aerosmith fell into troubles with thier manager Tim Collens. He was fired and he promptly went to the press with stories of Steven being back on drugs. Now, No One messes with Steven and gets off scott free. He was finally shut up and everyone knows Steven and the boys are as clean as the day they were born. 9 LIVES was a great sucess and the new live double album A LITTLE SOUTH OF SANITY was just released. Aerosmith also opened a Rockin Rollercoaster at Disney.
