I personally love this song because of it's abundance of great one-liners. You have everything from the basis "Falling in love is hard on the knees" to "I'm major in love but in all minor keys" to everyone's favorite "Don't give me no lip i've got enough of my own". Besides the humor in the lyrics, the music just rocks (but, hey, it IS Aerosmith).
Falling in Love was the first single released off of Nine Lives. The song and the video helped propel that album to debut at #1 on Billboard and achieve the record breaking sales it has accomplished so far.
That video by the way even included some shots of Steven in a straight jacket, and was set to make such a big impact that it Spin magazine did an entire spread on it. Here are some snippits of that:

The article continues with a breif description of the various concepts and models in the video and a take on Steven's breath-taking preformance that leaves everyone with only one comment "wow". After the journalist questions Steven's age and is left in disbelief by the answer, that section ends with the fitting reflection: "ladies and gentlemen," announces Bay, "that's a Rock Star."
