Rag Doll had a rocky start. Steven had the lyrics written out to be "Rag Time" (as in the "rags" or scarves steven has on his mic stand) but the record executives thought that it would never appeal to an MTV generation. They dismissed it first but you can't keep a good song down. Holly Knight came into the process and suggested "Rag Doll" for the title. steven loved it, altered the lyrics and wham what a hit! The song and it's great video have been an MTV favorite (and award winner) ever since...it also happens to work it's way into almost every Aero-setlist since it's debute.
