Install a K&N Air Filter |

In Your Stock Airbox |
Follow the steps below to swap out your old filter for a K&N. |
1. Open the hood. No Brainer :) |
2. Locate the Airbox on the drivers side of the engine compartment. The arrow in the picture is pointing towards the airbox. |
3. The lid of the airbox is held on with 4 screws. The arrows in the picture below mark their locations. |
4. Using either a phillips or flatblade screwdriver, loosen the 4 screws. NOTE: The screws will not come out of the lid. This is normal. Just loosen the screw until you no longer feel resistance when you turn the screwdriver. |
5. Before removing the lid, be sure to remove this fastener from the radiator shroud. This will allow the assembly to flex as you pull up on the lid, giving you more room to work with. |
6. Lift the lid up and remove the old filter. Now is a good time to clean out the airbox with a damp rag. You will be amazed how much stuff gets in here. Leaves, bugs, grass, etc. |
This is why you removed the fastener from the radiator shroud. You need the assembly to flex quite a bit to allow you the room to reach in and grab the filter out of the box. |
7. Once everything is clean, you can slide the K&N into place. Be sure that the filter seats properly all the way around. |
8. Once the filter is in place, you can place the lid back on the airbox. Make sure that the lid is positioned properly all the way around. |
9. Tighten the 4 screws securely. |
10. Replace the fastener on the radiator shroud and you are done! |
THE END! |
