In Japan, all mobile phone companies provide a free service of informing about earthquakes in advance and also they can use it to tell whether they are injured or not, there is a menu in mobile which let them select the option so that they can be prevented, or they can be helped in time of disaster. In Finland people are told to bring their mobile phones even when they are going to places where there is no coverage of signals in the areas because a radio detector can detect a point which is trying to connect to cellular network so they can get help by helicopter after they are detected. Many countries have a very good infrastructure of helping their people in time of disaster. Pakistan was the first country which used Mobile phone setup in time of earthquake in an effective manner and saved a lot of lives. |
