Well I hope most people know how to add a simple geocities picture (add-ons then choose pic) and also how to increaze and decreaze the size of the pic. You know using the scrolls in the tip of the picture(s). |
~Uploading pictures to a web site~ |
It took me sometime to realize that geocites does not take Bitmap pictures only GIF or JPEG. Why is this because Bitmaps are not for online uses. But if you really have a bitmap picture that you like the best suggestion I can give is to download a converter or any program that deals with GIF. Like for example a animated GIF maker works fine. |

~Creating Banners~ |
Plain old Paint program won't help much for creating banners or pictures. A stronger program is needed. Yes this is where 23.0 MB is worth having. Good old Paint Shop Pro does the trick. If you have dial up connection have fun downloading :)... |

The hardest thing to do using geocities is UPLOADING.....So I'll just shut up now and give my useful hints. 1) make sure that when uploading a file that the characters are not long. For best results upload only from your Desktop |
2) Rename your File if its more then 8 characters!! Example FF3.mid instead of Finalfantasy3.mid. |
