Number One Adventure Charrenge

I just added a new link in the appropriate section, as sassed into doing in the guestbook. It's Colin's webpage and although he never updates it and it's mostly just him talking about what "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" means to him as a personal narrative, it still has plenty of fun for all good girls and boys.
I just got back from watching "Mystic River," which was overall an excellent movie. I'd never heard of it before going to see it because very little American movie advertising reaches Japanese TV, so it was a pleasant surprise. I get the impression that Clint Eastwood, who directed it, saw "In the Bedroom" a few years back and decided to make the same movie, only more palatable to a general audience. As a result, the overall feel is very similar to that movie, only with a great deal more action in the sense of anything happening at all, and a mystery bit to keep people interested. All in all it is nowhere near as good as "In the Bedroom" was, but despite some unconvincing plot elements, it is still extremely good. Of course, the movie has probably been out in America for months now, so this is probably like listening to some hobo on the street mumble drunkenly about how you should see this crazy new movie called "The Matrix" that mixes action and philosophy like they're two sides of the same coin, man, like
good and evil, you dig? And speaking of coins, give me all your money or I'll cut you.
Now I'm listening to A Silver Mt. Zion, a side group of Godspeed You, Black Emperor, and the combination of that movie and this music means that I'm about one pot of black nail polish away from dressing in too-tight clothes and hanging around coffee bars writing dark poetry about the unimaginable depths of pain and misery my soul contains, like when my parents bought me a sports car for my birthday but it was totally this gay color and like so much worse then nothing.

This is such stock footage I can't even remember if I put it up before. Is the Ginkaku-jj.

A stunning expose of the beauty military-industrial complex. Truly a shirt for the socially conscious.
