Number One Adventure Charrenge

So the reason I haven't posted lately is that I have been doing absolutely nothing to merit posting. I tried to describe the past few days to Teresa and ended up inflicting a massive, cruelly boring paragraph about kanji upon her. Since the rest of you are not, as far as I know, my girlfriends, you don't have to suffer through the same treatment. Suffice to say, for the last few days I have been studying lots of kanji. And that's it. And yet, despite the boredom and the cabin fever that attacks innumerable times a day with flailing fists of fury, I still consider this both an excellent use of time and a very good time indeed.
I found out by tragic experience that my computer is far too antiquated to even consider running Gunbound or Puzzle Pirates, but in the end that is quite likely for the best. I don't see myself readily able to stop playing either a Worms-Scorched Earth hybrid or a puzzle game based on the daily life of pirates, and I would like to get some amount of studying done over this break. I have also managed to resist the urge to download Angband, despite the fact that it is the one free, fun game that my computer can play. We'll see how much longer this willpower lasts.
The picture on the left was taken at the hotel my host family and I stayed at in Shimonoseki. What I'm wearing is a yukata, not a kimono, and is intended for wear from the time after taking a bath in the evening until the next morning, including sleeping. The picture on the right is of the last time I wore a yukata, which was at the Mukogawa Japanese Cultural Festival in sophomore year of high school, when I had been studying Japanese for all of perhaps three months. Sorry the picture quality is so poor on the old shot, it's just something I've had sitting in my hotmail inbox for five and a half years or so. Never thought I'd actually have a chance to use it. Anyway, finish this thought yourself with vague and cheery notions of how things come full circle, then wait for the stirring music to start up as baby Simba is thrust towards the sun before the eyes of his adoring subjects,
but beware, because Simba's evil uncle Scar is just around the corner, plotting all kinds of mischief.

Five and a half years later, and look at the way that aura of sexiness hasn't changed a bit.
