So the craziest thing happened to me last month involving a herd of sheepgoats, twelve norwegian songstresses with voices of silvered honey, and an all-you-can-eat pass to Holland. Suffice to say that between all that, the German measles and the French pox, i have been unable to post until now.
As it turns out, the best cure for the French pox is the German measles - it gives up without a fight.
Anyway, the wedding, which was part of the above-mentioned business@was really amazing, and I was really happy to see that at last we live in a day and age when two men can declare their love for each other before the state. Going back to America for a couple of weeks was a really interesting experience, but after eating my fill of all the deliciousness i am so cruelly denied in Japan, it was time to come back to squid jerky and fish heads. Not to say that i dislike either of those, of course, but somehow the frighteningly identifiable sealife is not as immediately appealing as the disturbingly anonymous meat-like products we get in America.
I started a homestay just after I got back from Korea, which I will continue until I leave in August. The family is really nice and boisterous, as is more or less inevitable when you have four kids whose ages top out at nine. It's pretty fun being transformed suddenly into the older brother, and even nicer because i don't have to worry about annoying little things like discipline and crying.
I don't have a picture up today despite all the great ones I took at the wedding because I'm spending the night at an internet cafe right now and can't upload pictures. Of course, I don't have my camera rightn ow anyway, so the whole thing is more or less moot because I am an enormous ass and can't ever remember to bring what I need to town with me. Anyway, maybe you'll get a picture tomorrow. And maybe your keyboard will turn into a little butterfly and spin delicate and complex mathematical patterns in the air with its hypnotic flight.
