In lieu of anything better, here is another picture of the kitty. Beware its feline charms; it may look cute, but soon enough it will be asking for your credit card number and rooting around in your pockets while you sleep.
Today I gave the presentation I mentioned yesterday, and was fairly pleased by the outcome. Of course, it was by and large the same presentation I gave Friday, so the people who were present at both speeches were probably pretty bored, but most of the people enjoyed it a decent amount. I'm sure the Japanese was completely broken as it was more or less impromptu, but in this sort of situation linguistic errors are more or less endearing anyway.
I cut a dashing figure today in my new maroon sweater layered over an attractive off-white collared shirt with black pants. I have been officially declared the King of Fashion, and my fleet-footed minions dart hither and thither gleefully spreading the news of my glorious ascension. Soon I will have all the world's fashion in my icy fist, liberating the people from the tyranny of color wheels and "matching," and replacing it with an equally incomprehensible system based on dolphin calls and the phases of the moon. The power is intoxicating.
I don't have much to say, so I've just been staring at the screen for the last five minutes or so, and in that time I managed to forget completely both what day it was and what I spent the day doing not once, but twice. I fear the day when I will go to the doctor complaining of a strange ringing in my ears, and he will promptly crack my skull open to reveal a tiny set of fine eggshell china and nothing else.
