Zoo Tycoon - Seaworld official opened on Saturday 4th January 2003 (GMT). It began life following the earlier Christmas release of Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon expansion pack Marine Mania, under the creative direction of Joe (currently the Curator). In the early stages, Seaworld was easily maintained and began to build up popularity among those who visited. In fact during the same year, Seaworld was beaten by a minutely small margin, during the Zoo Admin Awards, in the Best New Site category.
However due to several weeks of neglect during the month of April, maintaining the site became impossible and as such on the 23rd April 2003 it was declared that the site would be closed never to reopen again. Just 4 months after opening its doors, they were sealed.
And now, in 2004, the gates of Seaworld were flung open again, the tank filters were cleaned and brought to life again and Seaworld was alive once more. Plans to stay open are in place and it is the hope that the new features will once again raise the popularity that ZT-Seaworld once held. This time Seaworld is here to stay!! |

The Idea of Zoo Tycoon - Seaworld was to provide a website completely devoted to the Marine Mania exspansion pack of Zoo Tycoon. To do this the site would provide a complete and continually updated database of downloadable maps and marine animals for the Zoo Tycoon community to use free of charge. And in the most user friendly way possible.
The idea of The Pod Project, was to provide some kind of channel to support charities who protect the oceans and those animals and creatures that live in them, through adoption of marine animals and donations. To do this the SeaworldSTORE was set up in order to raise funds for the adoptions and donations |
