Murmurings of a diseased brain

“I love you more than just a friend”
Will this cycle never end?
You always love the ones you can’t have
And flirt with the ones you don’t want.
Flirt with danger, flirt with life.
Your heart breaks too quickly and mends too slow.
But if you don’t love you don’t live.
I want to live not merely survive.
We have learnt to extend life but not expand it.
Live, love and be loved,
These are fundamental qualities.
To love and not have it returned is not love,
It is lust, it is greed.  It fails.
Trust.  Trust in me like you know you can.
Trust in anyone and you’ll get hurt.
Trust in no one and you’ll fade away,
You’ll shrivel, you’ll wilt, you’ll disappear.
Idiots rule the world, cynics live in it.
If you think you can do better, have a go.
Not so smart now are you?
Freedom of speech is an idea,  never will it work.
Everyone has a problem with something someone else believes.
Pain is a concept no one understands,
It is there to help us learn.
Without it we’d be lepers to the core.
Could I be anyone but me?
Am I growing into the person I want to be?
Injustice is a fact of life.
Questions and answers please.
