Haikus

Egg

Secrets in a box.
Golden treasure awaits;
For life, or for death.

Deaf

All I remember
Is the sound of the clock, tick
But no tock, s’my world.

Hurt

Pain, time uncounted.
Pain, a soreness uncharted.
Pain, the only way.

Family

A knock on the door,
A gun fires, silence, nothing.
My family are gone.

Dreams

Night, I lie asleep
Unhearing, unseeing, dead.
Gone to my own world.

Hearing

If only I could
Hear someone cry, hear a shout,
Hear a laugh again.

School

Adolescent sneers,
Aimed at their enemies, yet
Ignored by teachers.

Work

I thought it was good
Till I gave it in and it
Returned all in red.
