Dear Islamic Brethren! To apply/stain the eyes with Antimony/collyrium being quite sweet and charming tradition of our beloved Madni Lord (), Divinely chosen of all the prophets () and the Apostles (). When the illustrious/renowned Lord, Sovereign of Madeenah () had to go to sleep he () used to apply Antimony to his eyes (i.e. stained His eyes with Antimony). Therefore we too, with the intention of adhering to the Tradition of the Prophet (), should stain our eyes with antimony. By doing that there shall accrue to us the recompense attendant at following/adhering to the Tradition of the Prophet () side by side the worldly gains/advantages obtained (by us).

Antimony "ismad" is the most excellent/supreme (of all the antimonies):-

Our beloved Master/Lord () used to like Antimony "Ismad" (the grinded powder of the antimony stone. "Ismad"). Accordingly Hazrat Abdullah Son of Abbas our Leader () narrated that the sovereign of Madeenah, Quietude/Tranquillity for the heart and the soul
() said:-

"Stain the eyes with Antimony "Ismad" because it promotes/strengthens the eye-sight / vision and causes the eye lashes to grow". It is stated in the traditional saying of the Prophet () as related by the son of Maja the traditionalist, "Amongst all the Antimonies, The superior most being "Ismad" as that brightens (strengthens) the eye-sight (vision) and causes the eyelashes to grow".

Dear Islamic Brethren! For the excellence / (celestial) importance of Antimony "Ismad" this (awareness) in itself is amply assuring that this Antimony was liked by our dear/beloved, Darling son of Aamina Bibi (), supporter of we helpless / destitutes, "Muhammad"
() Apostle of Allah (). He () used this antimony himself, persuaded His followers/adherents (slaves/Bondmen) as well to use the same; and also advised them the benefits / advantages (attendant at its usage). Therefore, if possible only "Ismad" antimony should be used. From the above mentioned traditional saying of the Prophet () this became known also that beside strengthening the eye-sight, "Ismad" antimony causes eye-lashes to grow too. It is said that "Ismad" (antimony) is found in "Asfahan". The noble/great sages/savants say that its colour is black and it is produced in Eastern countries. Any how if the "Ismad" antimony is obtained / available then, that antimony only is excellent (for use) otherwise by the use of any sort of antimony, eyes are stained with, the tradition of the Prophet () would be reckoned/considered to have been followed / adhered-to.

Staining of eyes with antimony while going to sleep is the Tradition of the Prophet ()

The Madni Lord () used to apply/stain his eyes with Antimony while going to sleep. Accordingly Hazrat Abdullah Son of Abbas, Our Leader () says that Madni Sovereign Quietude/peace and tranquillity for the heart and the soul used to apply the staining needle, for staining each eye with antimony/collyrium, three times. Dear Islamic Brethren! From the sacred traditional saying of the prophet () it became known that to use the antimony while going to sleep is the Tradition of the Prophet
(). Therefore, at whatever time we go to sleep at night we should not forget to stain our eyes with Antimony. There is this prudence / advisability too in staining the eyes with antimony while going to sleep that the antimony remains in the eyes for long time and by seeping / running through the pores of the eyes promotes benefit (relief) to the eyes.

The method of staining (the eyes) with antimony:-

In the above mentioned traditional saying of the Prophet () it has also been said (mentioned) that our dear Lord, sovereign of Madeenah () used to apply the staining needle of antimony three times (each) for staining the two sacred/sanctified eyes and most of the times acted/practiced that way. Still in some (other) traditional sayings/narrations mention is also made of the application of three staining needles in the auspicious right eye and two needles in the left eye. And in "Shamail-e-Rasool " (a book), on the excellences / virtuous traits of the Prophet () it is so narrated that Madni Lord () used to apply (first) two staining needles of antimony in each auspicious eye and (thereafter) one needle (turn by turn) in either of the Two eyes. We should therefore, use/apply antimony to our eyes in different ways at different times. That is to say sometime three staining needles (each) in either of the two eyes; sometimes three staining needles of antimony in the right eye and two needles in the left eye and still sometimes two staining needles each in either of the two eyes and then dipping the needle in the antimony apply the same in either of the two eyes (turn by turn) once only. By doing that way all the three traditional sayings of the Prophet () would have been acted upon. The point to be kept in mind is that in the matter of all tasks / businesses of respect/reverence our beloved Master/Lord () used to begin/start from the right side; Therefore apply antimony to the right eye first and then to the left eye.

O' our dear Allah ()! grant us as well Divine help and guidance in abiding-by the Tradition of the
Prophet () in staining our eyes with antimony every time we are about to go to sleep.

I)	It won't be any wonder, that I am able to read what the fate has ordained (formed) for me in the Divine Tablet recording all mankind doings.
II)	If I am (ever) able to apply the dust (of the sole) of the foot-wear of the Prophet  (), (as antimony).  .....
