Touch Me

touch me,
hold me,
can't you see that
sometimes i need you
to?

can't you see there are days where i die,
days where i live,
can't you see that those may just be worse?
can't you see there are times without you
that there is nothing left but tears
or the stains of you lips upon mine,
the smell of you in my car,
the taste in my mouth,
memories and prayers?

touch me, love,
hold me,
i need you now more than ever.
i've a long way to go,
and i don't know
if i want
to leave
if there is no one to touch me and
no one to hold me

there was never ment a long
goodbye,
but forever is too long for ourselves to
see us die,
the sand was cupped in your hands
as it blows, i wait in my bed,
between your thighs,
on a beggar night.

in the background
no one cares,
exhaling i  breathe.
the end is so difficult,
trust me,
it's bigger than
the beginning,
slowly i breathe,
i speak once more,
'touch me,
before i die'
