Angelo Badalamenti: ARLINGTON ROAD

This thriller starring Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins under the direction of Mark Pellington, has its musical score thanks to Angelo Badalamenti, the newyorker composer that, although his film career began in 1973, would not rush to the stardom until Blue Velvet (1986), the first of an ulterior and dense collaboration with the director David Lynch. Arlington Road is maked of twnty-one cues, in their majority of incidental style with electronic sounds that describe the tension and intrigue along the film; only the theme of Leah (Leah´s Theme ) takes the most melodic part in the score. Badalamenti, besides his collaborations with David Lynch, among those it highlights the successful soundtrack of the television series Twin Peaks (1990-1992), is the author of Cousins (1989) and The Comfort of Strangers (1990), among others.
