I never knew it could be so great,
Until he took away the hate,
He filled my heart with his sweet light,
Changed my life and made it right.
I never knew it could feel so good,
To feel these things I knew I could,
To give him "Thanks" each day in prayer,
To know that he is always there.
To start each day with a special "friend",
Who'll be with me until the end.
He walks with me through each day,
And shows me now the proper way.
