A good friend is like a rare
shell washed upon a quiet beach.
One who discovers such a friend
finds a priceless gift from God.
Having a special friend
is a true blessing,
and evidence that you,
too, are special.
Friends help us know
ourselves a little better,
and like ourselves a little more.
Good friendships enlighten
the mind, enrich the heart
and enhance our lives day to day,
and season to season.
Friendship is as necessary as
the sun, as constant as the stars
and as rewarding as spring
after a long winter.
One does not go out into the
world in search of friendship...
friendship is something that
happens naturally,
when the time is right, like
a rainbow in the sky.
The world is as wide as
the sky and beyond,
and as infinite as the twinkling stars..
.
that two kindred spirits
should come together in friendship is
surely evidence of divine,
intervention.
It is a fine, divine wind that carries a tiny seed,
just so, and takes it to the very place
where friendship needs to grow.
Friends possess something in their
character that we admire
and wish to add to our own lives.
There is an honesty between
friends that is rare to other
relationships...this is part of the
magic of friendship.
With a good friend, there
is a comfort zone like
none other, where sharing even
silence can be a pleasure.
The struggle to make ends
meet in this busy,
complex world often burdens our
hearts...friendship
helps soften the hard edge of life.
Good friendships contain the
strength of affection that
makes forgiveness instantaneous,
and disappointment forgotten.
Good friendships are not measured
by the frequency of phone calls,
or letters, or visits...the best friendships
are recognized
by the quality of time and feelings shared.
Friendships grow deeper as trust
and cooperation evolve
from shared experiences....
There is a place, between friends,
for seriousness as well
as humour, and countless ways
to show appreciation.
Time passes by and steals
the days and years.
Changes are many, and often...
.they always will be....
but a good friendship lasts a lifetime.

KEEP SMILING If at times you feel you want to cry And life seems such a trial Above the clouds theres a bright blue sky So make your tears a smile As you travel on lifes way With its many ups and downs Remember its quite true to say One smile is worth a dozens frowns Among the worlds expensive things A smile is very cheap And when you give a smile away, You get one back to keep Happiness comes at times to all And sometimes a few tears must fall Among the laughter hidden So when friends have sadness on their face And troubles round them piled The world will seem a better place And all because you smiled.... FRIENDSHIP (Author Unknown) Friendship is a PRICELESS GIFT that cannot be bought or sold, But it's value is far greater than a mountain made of GOLD. For gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither see nor hear AND in the time of trouble it is powerless to cheer-- it has no ears to listen Nor heart to understand, It cannot bring you comfort or reach out a helping hand So when you ask GOD FOR A GIFT Be thankful if HE sends NOT DIAMONDS, PEARLS OR RICHES BUT THE LOVE OF REAL TRUE FRIENDS
Ode to a Friend
Friends are those things
that make the world go round.
Friends are there when you need them,
and you’re there for them.
They make you laugh, and they make you cry.
Through the good times and the bad,
you can only expect out of them
what you are willing to sacrifice yourself.
For you can not buy them,or steal them...
though some may beg to differ,
because in all honesty to ourselves,
if they were really a friend then
they cost you nothing, but your
own friendship in return.
A friend is someone you can turn to,
to bury your tearstained face when you
have been hurt, and your heart can cry no more.
A friend knows just what to say
when you think you’ve heard it all.
A friend is someone you can count on,
even when you can’t count on yourself.
For the world will turn it’s back on you
and your heart feels it has nowhere
to turn, no where to run,
and no where to hide.
But the only real place that
you can turn to...is a friend.
What do I expect out of a friend?
I expect a friend who understands, cares
about you more than themselves,
someone who expects nothing but to hear you
laugh and giggle, someone who knows
the true value of being considered a
friend. I don’t expect anything out of a friend...
that I wouldn’t give myself.
